beet, kale, cherry smoothy

by Stacy
(Dayton, Tn)

  • 1fresh uncooked medium beet peeled topped ( wash and keep the tops to use for an extra vitamin boost.)
  • 1 cup kale rinsed
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pitted sweet black cherries
  • 2 Tbsp Pomegranate juice or seeds from one pomegranate
  • 1 5.3 oz. Container 0 fat greek yogurt any flavor

Brew 2 green tea bags in one cup water, cool
blend ingredients with tea until creamy.
I find the green tea acts as an appetite suppressor as well as a punch of antioxidants. You can always use decaffeinated.

If I don't get enough sweetness from the cherries I will add pineapple, apple, pears, etc. Go crazy!
