Hulk Smash

I buy bananas in bulk after they are too ripe to sell and therefore marked down 1/2 price. As soon as I get home from the market, I peel them, cut them in thick slices then freeze in a gallon zip-lock.

About 1 and a half frozen banana chunks
1/2 an avocado
Enough apple juice that it will blend smooth

Delicious!

Frozen bananas
by: Kelly

Yes, I freeze bananas all the time for smoothies (just when they're about to go bad). Works great!!

I've always wondered about freezing bananas.. everyone says "they'll be mushy when they thaw".. well, it's going to be mushy in a smoothie too so I will try this :) thanks!
