Limit their snacking/not straving
by: Annette

When I say limit their snacking I do not mean they do not get snacks. Usually they have snacks twice a day. What I mean is they are not allowed to just grab anything out of the cabinet and start munching.

Your idea about oatmeal and bread is great. We have homemade bread often and that is a great snack.

The point I was trying to make was to KNOW what your children are eating. Offer nutritious meals AND snacks. When I say limit, that means have a plan don't allow them to eat whatever they want when they want.

Don't worry my children are NOT starving. They are great eaters. Children really do need to eat several times a day, let us as moms just offer healthy choices.

This is good that you limit your child's snacks, but I believe that you shouldn't let your children starve. It is not good for there health, so once in a while give them something that will fill them up for a lot of time like oatmeal or wheat bread or something like that. I have eaten those and I don't even feel the urge to eat at times. Try substituting there snacks with things they will not feel hungry in a long time, so they won't have to starve!
