Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

by Tinytoesclothes
(Phoenix Arizona)

This is great for energy or sick kiddos that need protein. (Moms watching weight, use ingredients in parenthesis ().)

1 cup Vanilla Yogart (I use dannon light fit for low sugar)

3/4 cup milk (I use skim milk)

1 cup ice

1 medium banana

1 tbsp peanut butter (I use naturally more for extra omega 3)

Blend together, place in cup, add canned whip cream on top with a drizzle of Honey (No Honey for children under age 1) for energy.

I use this after my workouts at the gym or for a lunch replacement meal with a salad. Gives you protein needed by your muscles after activity and has dairy, fruit and nut/grain. With a salad, you have complete meal. My kids also like to add just a few pieces of Dark chocolate sometimes.
