I make my spanish rice with all different meat, bean and vegetable combinations. This one is very popular.

1 lb. ground beef
1 diced onion
1 diced red or green pepper
2 pouches goya sazon
1 tea garlic powder
2 tea cumin
1 TB chili powder
2 cups long grained rice
1 16 oz can black beans
2-3 cups diced patty pan or other summer squash
1 16 oz can diced tomatoes
4 cups water
salt and pepper to taste

brown beef, onion and pepper in large pot with lid. Add
spices and rice and continue to brown for one minute. Add
remaing ingredients and cover pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer until all liquid is absorbed
25 min.
